ALL ABOARD--the AMTRAK train for a wonderful 2-night stay @ Holiday Inn Express in Grapevine, the Christmas capital of Texas. Grapevine blends Texas-sized fun with small-town charm, offering a welcoming and festive atmosphere. Arrive Wednesday in time to shop and explore 180 Grapevine Mills Mall stores before dinner. Thursday: attend pre-selected activity (ICE at Gaylord Resort; Santa's North Pole Express; or The Wine Vault Escape Room). Afterwards you will have plenty of time to explore Grapevine's Historic Main Street District and find a spot to watch Grapevine's annual Christmas parade! Friday breakfast at hotel before check-out and return by train to Temple.

River Place Canyon Trail Hike

Come with us to Austin on a wonderful early Christmas Hike. We will hike the River Place Canyon Trail which is approximately 3 miles from beginning to end one way and 6 miles round trip. This trail is extremely challenging, yet scenic and beautiful. The trail has various elevations and over 2,760 steps. You will have the option of doing either 3 miles (one way), 6 miles (round trip) or turn around when you feel you have reached your limit. After the hike we will stop and enjoy a well-deserved lunch.
Cost included r/t transportation, trail fee, and lunch.
